Transitioning Statuses in FreightPath Manually
In the event that a shipment has been booked and dispatched to either a driver or a carrier, the admin user will have the ability to monitor and change the status of the shipment manually. This functions ensures that the operations are streamlined and that the customer is aware of the current status of the load.
Shipment Details Page
In order to change the status of a shipment, you must open the specific shipment details page for the load that you would like to change its status.
*Note that you cannot edit the status if the shipment has not yet been accepted by either the driver or the carrier.
When the Shipment Details page has been pulled up, hover to the actions menu in the top right section of the page and click to prompt up the options of actions you can take.
The Pick-Up action allows you to change the status of the shipment to In-Transit, signaling in the Shipment Activity section that the load has been picked up by either the driver or the carrier.
Once clicked, it will prompt a Pick-Up window which will allow you to input the Shipper Name and Carrier Name as well as attach any photos if needed.
Once the information has been inputted, clicking Submit on the bottom corner of the window will register that this load has been picked up.
Make a Delivery
The Make a Delivery action allows you to mark that the carrier or driver has made a delivery.
Once the Make a Delivery option has been selected, a window will prompt up. Select the the Stop which you would like to update by clicking on the drop-down arrow under select a stop. Once the correct Stop has been selected, enter the Consignee Name as well as attach any images or documents.
Once the information has been entered, scroll down and click Submit the input the delivery.
In the event that there is only 1 delivery stop, making the delivery will change the status to Completed. However, if there is more than one stop, it will only be marked as Completed after all deliveries have been made.
The Cancel Stop action allows you to mark that a delivery stop within the route has been cancelled.
Once the Cancel Stop option has been selected, a window will prompt up. Select the the Stop which you would like to update by clicking on the drop-down arrow under select a stop. Once the correct Stop has been selected, you can select from an option of reasons behind the canceled stop. You will also be able to leave additional information in the description for for your records and for the customer to see.
Once the information has been entered, click Submit the register the cancellation.
