How to Update your Location Manually or through the FreightPath Driver App

While your shipment is in-transit, it is possible to update its location through two methods: you can manually update the shipment location through the FreightPath web-app; or, the location is updated automatically while your driver uses the FreightPath Driver App.

How to Manually Update your Shipment Location through the FreightPath web-app

When you enter the FreightPath web-app, you can select an active shipment either on the right hand side of the screen or through the Shipments tab on the left hand side.

Where to select a shipment from the Dashboard

If you select an active shipment on the right hand side of the page, you will be brought directly to its load details page. If you select a shipment through the Shipments tab on the left hand side of the page, you will see the following screen:

By selecting a shipment from the page above, you will be brought to the Shipment Details page. On the upper right hand side of this page, you can select the ACTIONS button where a drop-down menu will appear. Select the "Update Location" button.

Within the Update Location pop-up, you can enter the location that should be reflected on the shipment activity. The time that the location is updated defaults to the current date and time. You can change this by choosing the time that the shipment was at that location.

How to Update the Shipment Location through the FreightPath Driver App

While a driver is using the FreightPath driver app, their location is automatically updated. As the driver updates the load with every pick-up, the location will be adjusted accordingly. You do not need to manually update the location within the driver app.
