Creating a New Shipment
You will be able to create a shipment from any page on the FreightPath web portal by clicking on the + New Shipment button on the top right section of the header.
Once you have clicked on + New Shipment, you will be directed to the portal where you will be required to enter respective information to shipment.
The section required for the new shipment will be the customer profile, if you have a a customer already saved into the system, you can prompt up the saved details by simply entering the customer name in the customer field.
Alternatively, if you are entering a new customer simply click on the customer field, a customer window will prompt up where you can enter all related information to your new customer profile.
Once the customer is selected or entered, you will need to specify the origin destination. Similar to the customer window, you can either select a pre-saved destination or enter a new one by prompting the origin window. To prompt the origin window, simply click on the Ship From field in the origin section.
To prompt the origin window, simply click on the Ship From field in the origin section. The window will prompt, allowing you to enter all necessary information regarding the specific location.
Once the origin destination is entered, you will need to repeat the process for the delivery stops.
Once the delivery stop is set, you will need to edit the details regarding the item(s) that are being transported. You can either edit the existing General Freight by clicking on the pencil icon to the right of the field or you can add items by clicking on the ADD ITEM button which will be located on the top right corner of the section.
Dispatching to a Driver
Once all required information is inputed into the load information, the CREATE and CREATE & FILL RATES buttons on the top right will prompt and you will be able to select them. You can either choose CREATE and CREATE & FILL RATES depending if you would like to fill in rates now or later. Once selected, you will be redirected to the specific Shipments Detail Page.
Once on the Shipment Details Page, click on the ACTIONS button on the top right of the page to prompt an options drop-menu where you will select the DISPATCH option.
After selecting the DISPATCH option, a calendar will prompt up where you will be able to dispatch the shipment. Choose your driver from the left hands side of the calendar and ensure no scheduling conflict. Once done, dispatch the shipment by selecting the confirm button on the bottom right side of the window.
Once confirmed, the status of the shipment will change to Attempting Booking where it will confirm that you have dispatched the load to the driver and is pending their acknowledgement.
